I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space offering talk therapy to couples, families, and individuals seeking to improve their lives, mental health, and general well-being.

The Ease of Virtual Therapy…

Why?

With online therapy, you can get the help you need from the comfort of your couch - wherever you might be!

How?

I conduct online therapy in English, perfect for students, expats, digital nomads, or those with busy schedules worldwide.

What?

I offer individual therapy, couples/family counseling, and coaching.

How Does Virtual Therapy Work?

Traditionally, therapy was conducted during face-to-face sessions. I recognize that sometimes this is inconvenient or even impossible. We have all had to become more accustomed to working online, does therapy follow the same rules?

Research in more than 60 studies found that seeing a therapist virtually is just as effective as face-to-face sessions for people with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PSTD).

I believe it’s perfectly possible to conduct high-quality therapy without physically sitting across from each other.

Sessions take place via video call or telephone, whichever is your preference!

Choosing a therapist can be difficult, so it's helpful to get a feel for the approach, training, and background of a therapist before you meet.

About Kelly

I have been registered and accredited with the New York State Board of Social Workers since 2017. I earned a Bachelor of Science (2008) and a Master of Social Work (2017) from New York University (NYU). I previously worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and private practice settings in NYC and Bedford, NY.

I started my practice with one goal: to help people find happiness in their work, relationships, and lives. Let’s work together to help you focus, reflect, and refine your life. My therapeutic style is warm, caring, and empathetic. I take an active, collaborative, and conversational approach to working through life's ups and downs. However, I am acutely aware of the importance of listening, open-ended questions, and allowing individuals to self-realize. The aim is to meet each individual where they are at and build from there. I hope to utilize individuals' reactions to their problems and help use these responses as an opportunity for learning and maturing. Conversation and psychoeducation are techniques we will use to help develop mastery of your therapeutic goals.

I completed training and am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Biofeedback Therapy. Additionally, I am certified in Teletherapy and Telemental Health Counseling. Click here if you are interested in reading more about the different psychological modalities.

I am an American living in Portugal. I have also lived in the UK, France, and Australia. I love traveling, hiking with my Australian Shepherd, named Tag, photography, playing tennis and making fun of myself.
