Choosing a therapist can be difficult, so it's helpful to get a feel for the approach, training, and background of a therapist before you meet.

About Kelly

I have been registered and accredited with the New York State Board of Social Workers since 2017. I earned a Bachelor of Science (2008) and a Master of Social Work (2017) from New York University (NYU). I previously worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and in private practice settings in NYC and Bedford, NY.

I started my practice with one goal: to help people find happiness in their work, relationships, and lives. Let’s work together to help you focus, reflect, and refine your life. My therapeutic style is warm, caring, and empathetic. I take an active, collaborative, and conversational approach to working through life's ups and downs. However, I am acutely aware of the importance of listening, open-ended questions, and allowing individuals to self-realize. The aim is to meet each individual where they are at and build from there. I hope to utilize individuals' reactions to their problems and help use these responses as an opportunity for learning and maturing. Conversation and psychoeducation are techniques we will use to help develop mastery of your therapeutic goals.

I completed training and am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Biofeedback Therapy. Additionally, I am certified in Teletherapy and Telemental Health Counseling. Click here if you are interested in reading more about the different psychological modalities.

I am an American living in Portugal. I have also lived in the UK, France, and Australia. I love traveling, hiking with my Australian Shepherd, named Tag, photography, playing tennis and making fun of myself.
